I always knew I would own a business of some kind someday, but with almost 20 years in retail management, I never imagined it would be a photography business, and that I would love it SO. MUCH. I've been a 'memory junkie' since I was a kid, always re-watching home videos, flipping through photo albums, and creating slideshows for birthday parties. Growing up, we had a family tradition where one of our Christmas gifts was a calendar for the next year, and I ALWAYS requested an Anne Geddes calendar (you know, the photographer that created super adorable photos of babies in flower pots or little animal costumes). One of my first jobs was even in a one hour photo lab! Looking back, all the signs were there, it just took me a hot minute to put them all together!
